| Frequently Asked Questions... |
How and when can I become a member? CSA shares are available for purchase beginning in March of every
year. Previous members have first option to renew their memberships
in February. Interested parties should join our mailing list. The mailing list will receive a membership
form in March 2011. If you contact us with your address we will
gladly add you to our mailing list. We fill up quickly but are adding
new memberships every year.
What does it cost to be a member?
Cost for a vegetable share is $500. This includes an assortment
of fresh, organically grown garden vegetables and herbs throughout
an 18 week season. Pay the balance in full or guarantee your membership
with a $50 deposit toward the total share cost. Installments may
be placed until June 1st. Shares will be sold on a first come, first
serve basis.
Can I split a share with someone else? Yes. Many people split their shares with friends or family. Included
in the membership form are spots to fill out the information for
those you are sharing with. Splitting arrangements are up to the
primary shareholders and their splitters, not the farm so be attentive
to the costs for each party and arrange for the most optimal pick-up
site for the group.
What kind of vegetables can I expect?
Throughout the 18 week season we offer a wide variety of fresh, organically grown garden vegetables and herbs. To see a detailed list of
maturity dates for each, click here.
Do you offer preserving shares?
Yes. Tomato and Green Bean preserving shares are available for members
and non-members. Contact
us to check on cost and availability of preserving shares.
Pumpkins in October
Every vegetable share will receive one carving pumpkin but we try to grown
enough so every child will have one for Halloween. Be sure to designate
how many you would like on your membership form.
When and where can I pick up my box?
Delivery days will be on Wednesdays beginning mid-June. There are
several locations you may choose from for your weekly pick-up along
with the hours your box will be available. View the Pick-up Sites here.
Why should I sign up for the E-mail list?
By joining our e-mail list, you'll stay up to date with our weekly newsletters that detail what's in your box, give you tasty recipes from other members, as well as keep you informed of important member information, announcements, and events related to the farm and your membership. |
