Rick and Karola Dalen have been running Northern Harvest Farm CSA since 2005. They are both graduates of the University of MN-Duluth.

Rick studied Environmental Studies and minored in geography, philosophy, and music! He spends many of his free moments picking away at his guitar. To meet the requirements of his degree, he completed a summer internship working at Rare Earth Farm, a CSA in Belgium, WI.

Karola studied biology with a focus on ecology and botany. If she hadn't turned into a farmer, she would probably be in the woods keying out native flowers.

Fun Fact: Rick and Karola spent 10 weeks in Spain in 2003. They spent 3 weeks on three different organic farms, working in trade for room and board. It was a wonderful and cheap way to travel around southern Spain.
